TBB are excited to be working alongside global engineering, management and development consultancy, SMEC, in developing a business case for the City of Stirling to support the implementation of a trackless tram system.
The City's bold vision for trackless trams offers a contemporary, sustainable transport that could improve congestion and safety for commuters.
As a part of a multi-disciplinary team led by SMEC, and including Six Cats Consulting Pty Ltd (Economics), Ranbury Management Group (Cost estimation) and Douglas Economics (Peer Review), the TBB project team will apply our planning experience gained from our work on the Herdsman Glendalough Area structure plan and Scarborough Beach Road West. The impetus and focus has been on transforming Scarborough Beach Road into an activity corridor with transit, connecting a number of important activity centres, to help deliver the City's vision for a 'second CBD' and for their infill development targets.
It is a key project in helping deliver an effective and sustainable transport network for the growing region, 10km north west of Perth’s CBD. The business case is expected to be completed by mid-2022.
