It was a fantastic night at the UDIA WA 2024 Awards for Excellence, with Taylor Burrell Barnett once again supporting the event as a category sponsor for Masterplanned Development.
TBB was thrilled to be a part of the project team for the winner of The Russel Perry Award, Curtin Heritage Living’s Cottesloe Redevelopment. This award is chosen out of all the winners on the night and reflects the very best urban development for 2024. It was the first time a Senior’s Living category winner took out this highest honour.
According to the Awards for Excellence judging panel, Curtin Heritage Living’s Cottesloe Redevelopment is a standout project, from the sensitive redevelopment of a heritage area, the bringing together of old and new buildings, to the seamless integration of new community amenity in the heart of Cottesloe, the project sets a new benchmark.
The TBB project team for the Cottesloe Redevelopment, led by Samantha Thompson, provided statutory planning and engagement advice throughout the project, including implementing a Structure Plan, Master Plan, Development Application and Community Engagement. The site features Marine Views Cottesloe, a 128-suite state-of-the-art residential aged care home incorporating design and technology innovations from around the world, and Waterfront Cottesloe, which includes 76 luxurious independent living apartments with thoughtfully designed shared spaces.
We were also pleased to see 21 Cooyou Close, Exmouth by The Fowler Group, Plus Architecture and Celsius Property Group receive the Judges Commendation in the Design category, another TBB planning project.
Congratulations to all the winners and nominees.
It’s a privilege to work on projects like these and particularly rewarding to see them recognised by the industry.
