Taylor Burrell Barnett is proud to have played a key role in the development of the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct.
Officially opened in November 2024, this state-of-the-art 51-hectare precinct in Neerabup will drive innovation across industries such as mining, construction, agriculture, and defence, while creating new opportunities for research, training, and development.
TBB’s involvement with the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct (AARP) began with preparing the Neerabup Industrial Area structure plan and continued with a tailored approach to development applications. We collaborated closely with DevelopmentWA, the City of Wanneroo, and the broader project team to navigate planning challenges, ensuring critical approvals were secured on time to facilitate project milestones. A strategic decision to pursue approval for a ‘research and development centre’ provided a timely solution, enabling the seamless progression of works and the launch of temporary facilities in 2021.
The AARP represents a significant economic driver for the state, bringing together test beds, cutting-edge facilities, and collaboration opportunities for industries advancing technology and automation. The project highlights TBB’s expertise in strategic and statutory planning, as well as our commitment to delivering outcomes that support innovation and industry growth.
By supporting the creation of Australia’s largest robotics and automation precinct, TBB has contributed to an exciting initiative that will foster global leadership in technology and create lasting benefits for Western Australia’s economy and industries.
It's exciting to be opening this world-class innovation hub right here in Perth, strengthening WA's position as a global leader in innovation, and setting our State's economy up for the future. Premier Roger Cook.
