Spoilbank Marina opens: a vision realised

Taylor Burrell Barnett is delighted to celebrate the opening of Spoilbank Marina, a project shaped by our expert urban design and planning team since 2013.
Officially opened on November 29, 2024, by Premier Roger Cook, the $187.5 million marina provides much-needed recreational boating facilities and vibrant spaces for the community and visitors to connect and enjoy the waterfront.
Working alongside Pilbara Development Commission, Town of Port Hedland & DevelopmentWA, and other key stakeholders, TBB led the marina’s masterplanning, ensuring the development balanced recreational, environmental, and economic opportunities. The design integrates the natural coastal environment with functional, community-focused spaces, creating a precinct that serves as a hub for both locals and visitors.
We are proud to have played a role in this transformative project, demonstrating how thoughtful design and collaboration can bring bold visions to life.
