Jarrod enjoys being a part of meaningful change to local communities.
Jarrod joined TBB in 2012. He puts his 15 years of experience in statutory and strategic urban planning to use by providing his clients with effective and efficient solutions in the areas of approvals and reforms to planning frameworks.
Jarrod received First Class Honours in Bachelor of Science (Urban and Regional Planning) from UWA after previously completing a BSc (Environmental Science) also at UWA. He plays a key role in the facilitation of major development applications through his role as Deputy Presiding Member of the City of Perth Local Development Assessment Panel. He also assists in shaping government policy and planning reforms in his role as a member of the Executive Committee of the Local Government Planners Association.
Canadian-born, Jarrod grew up in Victoria and then Western Australia. Outside of work Jarrod is busy with a young family and trying to take in as many AFL games as possible.
He counts Roe Highway Logistics Park, an exemplar of efficient and environmentally sustainable industrial development, as a stand out project that he’s been privileged to work on for the past six years.
Urban planning is the balance of science and art to create places through built form and public realm which engage local communities and provide spaces that people love.
