Monique is passionate about collaborating with other innovative thinkers to deliver places for people which are liveable, inclusive and sustainable.
Monique joined TBB in January 2023 as a Senior Consultant, bringing with her 5+ years of urban planning experience. After completing a Masters of Urban and Regional Planning at UWA, Monique kicked off her career in State Government before moving to private practice. Monique is active in the industry, collaborating with young development professionals in WA as a committee member of UDIA Outlook.
Her understanding of the WA planning framework and experience reviewing changes at both the State and Local level, means she is well placed to help her clients along their development pathway. She also brings valuable experience on a wide range of matters, from due diligence through to detailed development design.
A "Perthian" through and through, Monique grew up in the north-eastern suburbs before transitioning towards inner city living. Now based in the inner north-eastern corridor, Monique and her husband spend their time wrangling their 2 French Bulldogs, Atticus and Percival. ps. Watch out for those 2 on the #TBBDogs instagram!
One of Monique's career achievements to date includes a planning approval for an apartment building along Perth’s coast. Monique credits a collaborative team approach with the delivery of the landmark project which achieved high-quality urban design outcomes including dwelling diversity, energy efficient design, improved coastal ecological corridors and much-needed street activation
What we do as urban planners and designers helps to create dynamic places that foster liveability, inclusivity and sustainability throughout all stages of the urban lifecycle.
