Samantha provides solutions and strategies to solve her client's problems and bring their visions to reality.
Samantha has over 30 years of urban planning experience, joining Taylor Burrell Barnett in 1992 before becoming a Director in 2010 and taking on the role of Managing Director in July 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Urban and Regional Planning) and a Graduate Diploma (Urban and Regional Studies). She has also completed the IAP2 Australasia Certificate in Engagement.
With a role as a member of the UDIA WA Liveability Strategic Committee and Chair of Community Education & Engagement Committee, as well as Chair of the Water Sensitive Transition Network - Policy and Governance Sub Committee, Samantha gets involved in shaping government policy, planning reforms and water sensitive cities. She also volunteers on the YMCAWA Property advisory committee to help shape their property portfolio.
Growing up Sam lived in the Pilbara for 10 years and loves getting back there as much as possible for both work and holidays.
During her career she has helped shape some of WA’s iconic projects, including Livable Neighbourhoods and the Mandurah Ocean Marina, which was named best marina in the world, winning the 2011 Marina Excellence Design Jack Nichol Award.
Through design and planning we identify community needs, manage growth, create communities and revitalize facilities to create places where people live, play and work.
