Paradise Point: a visionary project where modern living harmonises seamlessly with the Alkimos masterplan
The Goal
Working with FHSI Design Studio and a wider project team for developers, Seacrest Homes, TBB achieved Development Approval to deliver a new multiple dwelling (32 apartments) overlooking Shorehaven Beach in Alkimos in Perth’s expanding northwest corridor. The development seeks to provide beach style apartments with communal amenities, a strong landscaping response and a mix of dwelling types.
Our Role
TBB were engaged as the lead planners responsible for the preparation and delivery of the development application, including coordinating a multi-disciplinary team of consultants, including the landscape designer, traffic engineers and sustainable design consultants.
The Outcome
The project was approved by the City of Wanneroo in April 2024, less than three months from lodgement. The project team had worked diligently to address challenging comments and suggestions from the Design Review Panel pre-lodgement, making for a smooth assessment process.
Instead of using the Development Assessment Panel process, which has been the subject of recent planning reform, the proponents opted for the City of Wanneroo to determine the application. This resulted in approval in less than three months.
Paradise Point aims to be the first apartment building to be developed in the Shorehaven Estate, offering residents a coastal sanctuary for modern living across 3 storeys plus a basement.
THE PROJECT represents an innovative built form design to deliver permanent residential development to the village, establishing a vibrant community in Shorehaven.
