An urban infill project creating a thriving residential development at the former Kinlock Primary School site in Ferndale.
The Goal
Transforming the former Kinlock Primary School site in Ferndale to provide a range of affordable land and home sites suitable for all lifestyles and budgets as well as sustainability initiatives and rebates to help reduce waste and lower household energy costs.
Located on the corner of Latham Road and Kinlock Avenue, Allure Estate is a development of 78 lots in varying sizes. It features green open spaces with retained trees, excellent pedestrian connections and incorporates WA’s first Liveable Street design.
Our Role
TBB was appointed in 2019 by Yolk Property to help them bring the Allure Estate vision to life. As a part of our services, we have provided urban design and town planning services, community engagement, detailed design of the development, subdivison and local development plans as well as facilitation of development approvals.
TBB was required to work closely with the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage and the City of Canning to achieve planning approvals in an expeditious manner bringing urban infill lots to the market. The approvals include: subdivision, revised plans of subdivision, local development plans and development applications.
The Outcome
Original earmarked as a staged development Allure Estate was so inundated by demand that the entire estate was released in one stage. Allure Estate is currently under construction with the Liveable Street starting to take shape.
