The Goal

Lancelin South is the southern extension of the Lancelin Townsite. It has been in the planning for more than 18 years and covers some 700ha of land. The planned area includes future residential for up to 10,000 residentis, commercial, mixed business and community use.

Our Role

TBB has been the lead consultants in the planning and design for the development of Lancelin South since 2003. Our team have taken on a number of tasks over the years from high level strategic planning, to extensive community consultation.

We have managed the scheme amendments for the staged rezoning from ‘Rural’ to ‘Urban Development’, ‘Landscape Protection’ and ‘Conversation’. More detailed planning and design has included Structure Planning, Master Planning, subdivision and development approvals and Design Guidelines.

Outcomes

Following the successfully completion of the Stage 1 Structure Plan and following progress of subdivision, water and sewage supply licencing, Lancelin South’s Stage 2 Structure Plan was approved in 2018. Stage 2 covers 88 hectares of land with an estimated 315 houses on elevated land.

In addition to planning and design, TBB have helped to secure potable and non-potable water services and development approval for a sewerage treatment plant
