The Glades, Byford

An award-winning masterplanned community in Perth’s southeast corridor.

 

 

The Goal

This project prioritises sustainability, as demonstrated by its EnviroDevelopment certification in Ecosystems, Water, and Community categories—the first of its kind in WA. It’s also home to key educational hubs, including a primary school and a co-located senior high and Catholic K-12 school, making it a dynamic and connected place to live.

Our Role

As lead design and planning consultants, TBB played a pivotal role in developing the District and Local Structure Plans, navigating challenges such as multi-landowner coordination and stringent water management requirements.

The Outcome

The Glades stands out for its harmonious integration of natural features and urban design. Highlights include a vibrant village centre with a traditional main street, picturesque lake, shops, cafes, and community facilities, alongside landscaped multiple-use corridors that enhance water management and recreation.
