The Goal

Watermark Champion Lakes is a vibrant, master-planned community on the foreshore of Wright Lake. It offers a commercial precinct that serves as the community hub, with retail and amenities to activate the public realm. The residential precinct features diverse housing options, including low, medium, and high-density choices, as well as retirement living, catering to residents at all life stages.

Our Role

From the beginning, Taylor Burrell Barnett has been the lead planning and urban design consultants for Watermark Estate. We developed the Champion Lakes Gateway Precinct Local Structure Plan, navigating DevelopmentWA’s processes and fulfilling the complex planning requirements of the Armadale Redevelopment Area. TBB continues to coordinate various subdivision stages and Local Development Plans to bring this community vision to life.

Key Outcomes

Watermark Estate’s design strikes a balance between environmental sustainability and diverse housing options, creating a vibrant community along the revitalised Wright Lake foreshore. TBB secured approval for the Champion Lakes Gateway Local Structure Plan and coordinated key subdivision approvals with the WAPC, along with Local Development Plans through DevelopmentWA, ensuring the project’s vision is realised.
