The Youth Strategy aims to guide future planning for the provision of fundamental services and infrastructure in City of Swan.
The Goal
The City of Swan initiated the preparation of a Youth Strategy to guide the future planning for the provision of fundamental services and infrastructure which foster positive youth development over a period to 2036.
Our Role
TBB, in association with specialist consultant Jane Forward, was engaged by the City of Swan to prepare the City of Swan Youth Strategy to provide a comprehensive strategic vision for young people aged between 12 and 25 years.
The Outcome
TBB used data analysis to determine the social profile of young people within the City and identify future demand for education/employment, housing, social, health and wellbeing opportunities.
The final report is succinct, well structured, and contains a clear and pragmatic action plan, identifying specific goals and actions, performance indicators and the necessary resources for implementation purposes. The Strategy includes a recommended delivery model, identifying service delivery management and priorities for actions in long, medium and short term, highlighting any special or priority areas to be actioned.
The City’s Youth Strategy was adopted by Council on March 14, 2018.
